Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas Gap Training
The Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas – Electrical provides licensed electricians with a pathway to a nationally recognised qualification relevant to their work in explosive atmospheres.
This gap course is for candidates who have already completed an EEHA (Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas) training course, and hold a Statement of Attainment.
Participants will complete three units via self-paced learning to be eligible for a full qualification.
The course will provide accreditation to undertake electrical work in a hazardous area and aligns to the requirements outlined in AS/NZS 4761 Competencies for working with electrical equipment for hazardous areas (EEHA).
Upon completion of the units, participants receive a Certificate IV qualification.
This course is completed in a self-paced mode, with online resources.

Students must hold UEE30811 Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent
Students must be existing industry employees, working as a licensed electrician
3 - 6 months on the job industry experience prior to training
Students must be able to provide a copy of their current electrical industry license
Students must be able to provide a copy of their current EEHA Statement of Attainment issued within last 3 years
Must be over the age of 18 years.
Students are required to complete the following 3 units of competency to obtain this accreditation.
UEENEEE117A - Implement and monitor energy sector OHS policies and procedures
UEENEEE124A - Compile and produce an energy sector detailed report
UEENEEK145A - Implement and monitor energy sector environmental and sustainable policies and procedures
Successful participants receive a Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas (Electrical) UEE42611.
